Our Services

Across the two churches we offer a variety of service types, celebrating different traditions and choral heritage. We have the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, Sung Services and the current Common Worship form. We also have services particularly suitable for children.

Wednesday Eucharist

Common Worship

A quiet and reflective service in an intimate and informal setting There is a focus on healing and listening to the Word of God in silence.
When possible we enjoy refreshments and fellowship out of doors afterwards.  
10am each Wednesday at St. Mary's lasting about 40 mins


Service of Music and Readings

A More Freely Creative Service

Drawing on some of Frome's fine musicians, this service combines poetry, readings and music around a particular theme. A sacred and inspiring space in which to find rest, refreshment and renewal.
6pm on the 3rd Sunday at Christ Church lasting about 45 minutes


Choral Evensong

BCP (Book of Common Prayer)

Hear beautiful music from the rich Anglican choral tradition with Director of Music Ann Burgess

6pm on the 1st Sunday at Christ Church lasting about 45 mins.


Sung Mass

Common Worship

A more traditional service each Sunday, enjoying a vibrant choral tradition, using incense to celebrate festivals.

10am on the 2nd and 4th Sundays

8:30am on the 1st and 3rd Sundays

at Christ Church lasting about an hour.

DURING COVID, the restrictions mean this is the same as the Parish Eucharist service.

At the heart of our life together, our main act of worship on a Sunday. Enjoying more modern worship and music, celebrating the festivals and seasons of the Church's year.

10:00am on the 1st and 3rd Sundays

8:30am on the 2nd and 4th Sundays

Mossy Church

Outdoor Worship

An informal and fun service held in the Churchyard using nature to help us connect with God. Snacks provided - particularly good for young families.

9am on the 3rd Sunday of each month at Christ Church lasting 30 mins.

Holy Communion

BCP (Book of Common Prayer)

A quiet reflective service, using the traditional and beautiful language from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.

8am on the 3rd Sunday of each month at Christ Church lasting 40 minutes.
