Congratulations!
Marriage is a solemn yet joyful occasion when two people commit themselves to each other in the presence of their families and friends.
Getting married in church brings an added spiritual dimension which deepens our lives and understanding of love as the bride and groom face each other and make their promises and receive God's blessing.
As well as offering the hospitality of our beautiful churches, we will work with you to create a meaningful and personal service and to offer support and guidance as you embark on the great adventure of marriage.
We can also offer services of blessing following a civil marriage.
Baptism
Baptism (christening) is the first step of a life long journey in response to God's love for us.
It is also a time of thanksgiving for the wonder of a new life and a time to pause and reflect on our own lives committing to a better future for all, and of receiving God's blessing. It isn't just for babies.. adults can also mark their journey of faith by being baptised.
It is possible to have a baptism in the main Sunday service or afterwards at a separate service.
Funerals
Organising a funeral is one of the hardest things to do and we are here to help you on this particular journey. It doesn't matter whether you are a Christian or not, we can offer support and guidance at this difficult time, to help ensure that your are able to say goodbye and begin to grieve in the way that is right for you and reflects the life of the person who has died.. Both of our churches have a Garden of remembrance where ashes can be buried.
Clergy are also able to take funeral services at the local crematorium, natural burial sites, and other appropriate locations.
